SAP® (ERP) Overview
The participants receive an overview of the SAP applications. The terminology used at SAP is explained. They gain basic SAP product knowledge and are thus prepared for attending advanced SAP courses.

SAP® SCM100: Overview Production Planning
The course provides an overview of the basic concepts and procedures in the area of production planning with SAP.

Participants
The training is intended for project team members and key users (persons from specialty departments) who are responsible for implementing production planning with SAP ERP.

Variant 1 – compact:

  • In this course, the participants get an overview of the planning process with SAP and the required master and transaction data in planning.
    • It explains Sales & Operations Planning (SOP), Demand Management, Long-Term Planning (LTP), and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
    • In addition, the integration with production and the effects on capacity considerations are presented.
  • 2 days (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) In this version of the course, the participants will not perform any exercises on the SAP system for the topics listed above.

SAP® PLM114: Basic data for production
Handling of material master, parts list, routing, and work center

Participants
The course is aimed at project team members, as well as employees from work preparation, those responsible for the material master, parts list, work plan, and work center.

Variant 1 – compact:

  • The organizational levels for planning and production are explained to the participants.
    • They learn how to create and change material master data for production, how to handle material BOMs, including standard BOM functions, phantom assemblies, variant BOMs, and multiple BOMs. BOM evaluation, work center, routing data for production, including capacity data and scheduling data are also explained.
    • The participants learn how to handle task lists, alternative task lists, operation details, production resources/tools, and the corresponding evaluations.
    • The topics are supplemented by training in customizing basic data for production.
    • This course shows the material master, the BOM, the routing and the work center from the point of view of planning and production, not from the point of view of development.
  • 5 days (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) In this variant of the course, the participants will not perform any exercises on the SAP system for the topics listed above.

This course provides an overview of the basic concepts and procedures for external procurement with SAP.

SAP® SCM520 Purchasing
The participants develop the various master data in purchasing processing and use it in the procurement process. Participants will also learn special functions in Purchasing and Customizing settings relevant to Purchasing.

Variant 1 – compact:

  • The participants get to know the essential elements of SAP Purchasing. The following topics will be covered:
    • Default and control values for material and vendor master records, creating and managing types of sources of supply, source list and quota arrangement for controlling automatic source determination, release procedure for purchase requisitions and purchasing documents, vendor evaluation.
    • This course builds on the contents of SCM500 (External Procurement Processes). It only makes sense to attend this course if you have the appropriate prior knowledge.
  • 5 days (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

Variant 2:

  • The participants get to know the essential elements of SAP Purchasing. The following topics will be covered:

The participants get to know the functions and Customizing settings for sales and delivery processing. Consolidation of knowledge from course SCM600 and preparation for SAP user certification.

This seminar is aimed at sales and distribution administrators and managers, project team members and consultants.

SAP® Variant Configuration
The participants learn how to model a configurable product including the maintenance of all associated objects and master data. The integration of variant configuration into the processes of the logistics chain will be explained and additions to the configuration profile, object dependencies, integration aspects and other tools for variant configuration will be presented.

  • Training for mapping the SAP variant configuration in a S/4 HANA system.
  • The tools of the classification system are dealt with. This includes an overview and special features in variant configuration, material masters, BOMs and routings, an overview of configuration profiles and scenarios, and types and use of object dependencies. The product modeling environment of Variant Configuration (PMEVC) including BOM and routing is introduced.
